SSBA’s Blues Summer and Music Festival is June 16 at The Swiss in Tacoma. The doors open at noon and the music begins at 1:00 pm and goes until we shut the place down following 9 stellar bands. This is SSBA’s second festival following our packed Winter Blues Festival earlier this year.

Blues Summer and Music will also celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Randy Oxford Band. So come enjoy a full day (and night) of spectacular music with your fellow blues lovers. And be sure to bring Dad for some pre-Father’s Day fun! Kid friendly until 8:30 pm.

With special guest: Hank Shreve

Hank Shreve is quite simply one of the best harmonica players I have ever heard. He is a fiery, open minded, unique, musical harmonica player that can share the stage with any living player of any ability and hold his own or out shine them. He is a monster musician and a great person on top of that!” — Jason Ricci

If you have not been to The Swiss it is one of the most sought after stages in Pierce County. It is located in a historical building that goes back to the early 1900s. It has a beautiful full length antique bar with a Chihuly Glass display and a dining area; there’s a game room with pool tables, shuffle board and electronic games. The large stage room is totally awesome with great lights and effects.
