Los Lobos Feb 5-8th at the Triple Door, Seattle
Los Lobos “Disconnected”
Mainstage Theatre, 216 Union Street, Seattle
Los Lobos are celebrating their 52nd anniversary as a band with the release of the new live track album “Disconnected In New York City” on October 29th. Recorded live at the City Winery in New York City, the original members, David Hidalgo, Cesar Rosas, Louie Perez, Steve Berlin and Conrad Lozano (with the additional help of Enrique “Bugs” Gonzalez and Camilo Quinones) “DISCONNECTED IN NEW YORK CITY” will be available in three formats — a standard CD, a deluxe 2CD/DVD package and on vinyl.
Los Lobos has sold millions of records, won prestigious awards and made fans around the world. But perhaps its most lasting impact will be how well its music embodies the idea of America as a cultural melting pot. In it, styles like son jarocho, and norteño, and Tejano, and folk, and country, and doo-wop, and soul, and R&B, and rock ’n’ roll and punk all come together to create a new sound that’s greater than the sum of its parts.
