Mark Hurwitz and Gin Creek is a two-time nominee for the Best Band award from the Washington Blues Society, and leader Mark Hurwitz has been nominated three times for Best Piano/Keyboards as well as winning the prestigious Keeping the Blues Alive award. They play a variety of blues genres, specializing in jump blues, an upbeat style with elements of swing and jazz. They also play rhythm & blues, soul, and roots rock, all with a strong rhythmic drive that keeps dance floors packed.
