Together they conceptualized a band having an edgy\, driving\, Southern Rock and Blues sound with a dash of Cajun influence. \nHurts Like Hell is an Olympia based all original blues/rock band with Michael Smith (lead guitar and vocals)\, Chris Petersen (lead guitar and vocals)\, Doug Howard (bass) and Ben Hawkes (drums and vocals). Hurts Like Hell has opened for many national acts such as: Mick Fleetwood\, 38 Special\, The Outlaws\, Little River Band and more.
